EXAMPLES - CONVEYOR SYSTEMS
We design, manufacture and commission many types of automatic handling systems involving the use of conveyors. Below are examples of some of our recent projects.
WRAPPING ROLL HANDLING SYSTEM

A conveyor system on test at our works at Godalming. The system was shipped to Lawson Mardon Ltd to improve the efficiency and to reduce the chance of damage while transporting rolls of high quality printed wrapping between their slitting department and the stores. Finished rolls are placed onto the conveyors once they have been slit to size. The rolls are then transported separately to the stores. Various obstacles have to be negotiated by 90 degree transfers. Lines of individual conveyors are used to keep the rolls separated.

CHOCOLATE BUSCUIT CONVEYING SYSTEM

A double lane system with eight conveyors delivering rows of chocolate biscuits to four different types of wrapping machine. The end rollers are only 16mm diameter, to allow the biscuits to transfer between conveyors. A quick release tensioner enables the belts to be easily slackened for cleaning. Automatic belt tracking is used at each end of the conveyors using pneumatic sensing and sluing rollers.

REJECT DIVERT TO RECLAIM AREA

Products are conveyed to the packing department on the two outside lanes. A bar code reader detects rejects. The rejects are then transferred to the centre lane, where they are stored awaiting further inspection.

The automatic system is fully enclosed, for safety reasons using our M6000 perimiter fence guarding.

PLASTIC STORAGE BIN HANDLING SYSTEM
Two of these systems were recently completed and shipped to companies in Ireland. Pallets loaded with sixteen plastic containers with lids are loaded onto the zero line pressure roller conveyor using a fork lift truck. The containers are de-stacked, the lids removed by a pick and place unit and then passed through a cleaning process. The lids are then replaced, the containers with lids re-stacked in fours. They are then queued and finally replaced on the pallets. The pallets exit the machine guarding and are removed by the fork lift truck.
