The MONK AUTOMATIC BOX CHANGER is
a very efficient parts collection or supply system allowing machines to
operate
unattended for long periods with parts storage boxes automatically queued
and changed. They are used for the collection and storage of mouldings,
robotic load and unload systems, hand or automatic packing lines etc.
Empty boxes are placed by hand onto the input
conveyor at the end of the queue. They are indexed forward one at a time
to the load position where components are discharged or loaded into the
box. Once a pre-set quantity of parts have been loaded into the box a
signal is sent to interrupt the supply of parts, while the full box is
automatically transferred to the output conveyor and an empty box moved
into its place, this takes 5 seconds.
The unit uses two of our standard M19100
drum drive conveyors mounted on a heavy duty, low profile support frame
equipped with braked castors. Different sizes and configurations are available
to suit all applications. The two conveyors can be supplied any length
to suit the space available. Also extra conveyors can be used for the
infeed and the outfeed together with ninety degree bend units to transport
boxes to storage areas. They can be combined with other MONK equipment
such as elevators, hoppers, automatic box stackers etc.
The cycle is fully interlocked and the unit
cannot be re-started unless the transfer arm is in the back position.
The control panel has start, stop, reset and emergency stop buttons. Lamps
indicate power on, cycle running, emergency stop engaged and low air pressure.
